I know the steering rack was replace in the last 5 years, so at this point I am going to focus on the other stuff. Webb28 apr. 2009 · In other words I could live with the slightly torn boot if replacing it is going to risk something worse. The other thread said to disconnect the tie rod at the steering rack with a 32mm wrench but it's unclear if you have to disconnect the other end first. And if you only have to wrench the 32mm nut do you have to do a 4 wheel alignment?

It cost me around $57 for the part and the special tool to remove the drag link from the pitman arm. And, start to finish, it was only about 1.5 hours. To replace just the boot, you'll have carefully cut away the old boot, disconnect the inner tie rod from the rack to slide the new boot on, reconnect the tie rod to the rack and then clamp the boot ends in … chicago pegasus soccer club
