WebThe Port Phillip and Western Port region is home to more than five million people (78 per cent of Victorian’s population) and includes forested upper catchments, highly productive and diverse farming land, growth centres on the urban fringe, sprawling outer city suburbs, the densely populated urban Melbourne and the two glorious bays. WebEighteen Groundwater Flow Systems have been delineated in the Port Phillip and Westernport Catchment management region - based on the NLWRA model. Of these, 15 are predominantly local groundwater flow systems, 2 are predominantly intermediate, and one is predominantly a regional flow system.
